Our Story

Hello and welcome to learn a little bit about my breeding program. My name is Irina Falk. I purchased my first Yorkie girl "Paris" from our family friend Alla in 2008 and fell in love with this breed. When Paris grew and matured, Alla allowed me to breed her. Looking for stud service, I found breeder and trainer Ilona Rodionova and Tatiana Kolesnikov (breeder and groomer) of the "Rigair" kennel. Ilona and Tatiana got my husband Mike and I involved in breed confirmation shows. "Rigair" ladies shared wide knowledge of breeding, showing, training, grooming and became our first mentors.
Sometime in 2013-2014 I started exploring Facebook and get to know Yorkies breeders and their dogs from all over the World. I tried to learn more about quality of breed, pedigrees, where are the best dogs. I made a choice which way I want to go in my breeding program to get the best bloodlines. I've got in touch with Hunderwood Kennel in France and introduced myself to the owner breeder Eric Bernard. To my question: " Do you have any puppy for sale for breeding?" Eric wrote to me: " Yes I have a little male who is 1 years old son of "Honza". His name is "Cookie"(later we named him Andy). He loves to explore my garden, he is too beautiful to sell him as a pet, but too small for shows in Europe". I had no idea who was "Honza". So I quickly googled and was speechless what I found and my luck. Eric offered me an offspring of 2 times World champion!!! Price was steep for my income, but I just sold a litter of puppies and had money. The most of all I wanted this dog and I said yes. To make story short, Eric was very kind to bring "Cookie" to New York during the Westminster Dog Shows and 3 Yorkshire terrier specialties. I flew from Toronto to New York only for a weekend (I was working full time back then). I have met Eric Bernard "Cookie", "Honza" and many Yorkshire terrier breeders from all over the World. Many of them were my friends from Facebook. In New York I finally had a chance to to meet them in person and see so many beautiful dogs I was only familiar remotely. Gorgeous groomed coats on dogs, outstanding movements! I had a chance to say hello to legends of breeding history. From that point on I was never missed a year without New York in February.
My foundation stud dog Cookie/Andy (Hunderwood Heaven Sent) quickly became Canadian Champion, American Grand Ch., International Ch. Andy has an impressive pedigree
of his sire 2 x World Champion, International Champion, 3 x European Champion - "Wild Fantasy Hocus Pocus" aka "Honza" .
In November 2014 I bought my second French import female dog Hunderwood Jolie Lady Million - Mimi. Mimi also became Canadian Champion, she also became my foundation bitch producing two great dogs in my kennel Can./USA Ch. ParisYorkies Million Reasons aka "Tim-Tim" and ParisYorkies Lady Duchess aka "Duchess".
In 2016 I retired most of my females of first generation - Josie, Lulu, Matilda and Chloe. Josephine and Lulu are found new forever homes to have all undivided attention they deserve.
In February 2017 after a year negotiating, Eric Bernard and Nanta Tansacha offered to buy Andy back to his kennel Hunderwood in France to use him in his breeding program and selectively show in Europe. Thankfully I had 2 offsprings to continue Andy's legacy. MY breeding program benefited improving greatly in coat and body structure quality from this dog.

New Beginnings With Chihuahuas

Sometime in 2018 I started looking at different toy breed the could get along well with Yorkies. I imported two Chihuahuas Long coat breed and Short coat breed from Brazilian Kennel Lapinus. Breeder/ judge Paloma Pegorer, who I new in person, carefully selected couple of females from her kennel and kindly brought them all the way from Brazil. It was two white bundles of joy.  In 2020 I finally succeeded to produce my first litters. I am grateful to Lynn and Jeff Hird (Bloomsbury Chihuahuas), who helped me to get more familiar with Chihuahua breed, shared their beautiful studs. I am just starting, so wish me luck.
